Millwork Production Engineer

*Summary*Reserve Millwork is a high-end commercial architectural millwork manufacturer looking for an experienced Production Engineer. Candidate MUST have experience in the Architectural Millwork industry, including: AWI standards, architectural veneers and veneer sequencing, custom architectural cabinetry, and plastic laminate casework. Project Engineers are responsible for engineering requirements of multiple projects. This includes supporting the Project Managers in generating shop drawings, material take-offs, field dimensions, and work orders.*Responsibilities** Understand project documents including architectural drawings, specifications, scope, and estimator’s take-offs.* Responsible to produce all shop drawings and submittals.* Assist PM’s with collection of field dimensions when requested, including the use of laser templating system.* Update all shop drawings to incorporate field dimensions.* Assist PM and Purchaser with material take-off from Microvellum* Release Work Orders for production with adequate lead-time to meet schedule goals. Maintain oversight of shop production to ensure fabrication is meeting design intent. Communicate with Project Manager if issues arise.* Assist PM’s with documents required for vendors such as stone, upholstery, glass, and metals.*Skills*· Must be a strategic thinker, possess strong understanding of custom architectural fabrication methods, and be able to provide support to Project Managers across the life cycle of a project.· Ability to effectively work in a team environment, including ability to delegate, take/follow directives, maintain professional demeanor, and demonstrate respect for all employees.· Demonstrate expert knowledge of architectural millwork including materials, engineering, fabrication, and value engineering opportunities.· Ability to demonstrate expert knowledge of various software including MS Office, AutoCAD, Microvellum, and ERP systems (Innergy /_Preferred)*About Reserve Millwork:*Since 1980, Reserve Millwork’s reputation and focus are on high-end commercial projects that include reception desks, boardroom tables, cabinetry, etc. The primary customers are large general contractors; however, Reserve maintains relationships with developers, owners, and architects as well.
