Deep Cleaning Housekeeping Aide

*This position is Monday-Friday with working every 5th weekend. **Scope of Position: *The overall purpose of the Deep Cleaning Housekeeping Aide position is to provide assistance in deep cleaning of the resident rooms and public areas of the Home. This position will involve dusting, scrubbing, sweeping, thorough cleaning, and disinfecting of areas throughout the Home. This position will also involve helping aide in room moves for residents.*Qualifications:**1. *Must have ability to work harmoniously with other personnel.*2. *Must be able to show respect and courtesy to the residents of the home.*Job Responsibilities:**1. *Receive and follow cleaning procedures as instructed by Lead Housekeeper or Supervisor.*2. *Take responsibility for deep cleaning of the areas that have been assigned.*3. *Keep all cleaning solutions and supplies locked at all times when not in use.*4. *Report any unsafe conditions, defective equipment, and building cosmetics deficiencies to the Director of Environmental Services.*5. *Fill and empty mop buckets.*6. *Moving furniture (beds, dressers, nightstands etc.) to access areas for thorough cleaning.*7. *Remove and dispose of garbage.*8. *Assure the work area is free of equipment and supplies before leaving on break, lunch, or the end of the day.*9. *Clean and replenish your cart at the *end *of the day to assure its ready for whoever would use it next.*10. *All other duties as assigned by supervisor.*Other Responsibilities:** Focus on meeting customer needs. (staff, residents, families) Keep in mind residents needs are #1 priority.* Maintain a positive, caring attitude throughout the work day* Use a team approach and help other that are in need.* Effective communication skills with residents and staff are very important. You will be required to interact effectively with residents, families and co-workers.* Conduct yourself in way that conveys an attitude of trust and dependability with co-workers.* Report for work every scheduled day, on time and follow rules for the time clock* Respond to staffing needs of the department including calls for help when short staffed* Participate in department meetings and maintain appropriate number of in-service hours.* Practices safe work habits and reports all accidents/incidents, regardless of how minor, to immediate supervisor as soon as they occur and completes required incident report.* Maintain confidentiality of _*all*_ resident care information to assure resident rights are protected.*Physical Demands*:The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Also, the ability to move dressers, night stands, beds, and recliners.*2. *Perform repetitive motions i.e. mopping//sweeping//scrubbing. Must be able to learn how to operate and clean our floor scrubber.*3. *Lift or move from floor to waist 75 pounds, floor to chest 40 pounds, floor to overhead 20 pounds.*4. *Must be able to lift, push, pull heavy housekeeping carts, and move equipment, supplies, and furniture throughout the workday up to 75 pounds.*5. *While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to blood or other body fluids, fumes, or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.This position is essential for ensuring that our facilities remain clean, safe, and inviting for all who use them.
