Boutique Retail Plant Nursery Associate

*Job Overview*The Nursery Associate at The Trellis is primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service by helping customers with plant selection and care, maintaining plant health, and ensuring store areas are clean and organized.*Key Responsibilities** Maintain plant health through appropriate watering, pruning, pest management, and merchandising best practices.* Operate cash registers and process transactions.* Support the manager and assistant manager in executing seasonal promotions, display updates, and customer engagement initiatives.* Assist customers with plant selection, gardening advice, and product recommendations.* Assist with unloading inventory deliveries, restock shelves, and label plants and products.* Maintain cleanliness, organization, and aesthetic presentation of the garden center, ensuring displays reflect the brand’s rustic, minimalist style.*Qualifications:** Proven experience in retail, horticulture, or garden center preferred.* Knowledge of plant care and seasonal trends.* Excellent communication and customer service skills.* Highly organized, proactive, and hands-on in approach.* Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.* Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.*Compensation & Benefits** Compensation: $15-$17 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications* Employee discount on plants and merchandise* Flexible scheduling options in off-season months (November–February)Join our team as a associate where you can apply your passion for nurturing plants and other beautiful things while being part of a great team.Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, SeasonalPay: From $15.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discount* Professional development assistanceSchedule:* Year round workAbility to Commute:* Birmingham, AL 35243 (Required)Work Location: In person
