Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician responsibilities include electro-mechanical assembly, manufacturing, system staging as well as programming, troubleshooting, testing, and maintenance of IP-based access control, intrusion detection and video surveillance systems for high security applications. This position requires the individual to master the installation and maintenance of all PSG-offered technologies. The individual will possess electro-mechanical assembly skills, systems administration skills, network communications, and personal computer architecture and software experience. They will have strong organizational, troubleshooting and communication skills, be goal oriented, ambitious, accept empowerment within boundaries, and desire to work within cross functional team environments. Ability to present a professional image and commitment to customer service are essential.*Responsibilities*· Perform electro-mechanical assembly and test of custom products produced by PSG· Read and interpret Computer-aided drafting (CAD) schematics, wiring layouts and mechanical designs· Conduct quality control checks on the functionality of parts, components, and finished goods· Assist in testing new products and carrying out inspections at various stages of production· Stage and configure video management systems, including server and workstation deployment, configuration, test, and audit· Recommend and participate in the development of engineering changes as needed· Document system malfunctions and testing issues· Perform bug reporting as well as following and tracking of issues reported to closure· Coordinate with vendors to resolve product technical issues· Interface directly with project stakeholders to stage, program and manufacture PSG offered technologies based upon work orders· Ensure compliance with system design documentation, and document any deviations· Assist with shipping and receiving responsibilities· Perform a wide variety of tasks and change focus quickly as demands changeNOTE: Additional duties may be assigned as the position evolves*Desired Qualifications and Credentials*· A+ Certification· Network+ certification· Electro-mechanical assembly, low voltage wiring and testing experience· Use of common tools and electronic testing equipment (Drills, hand tools, multimeters, etc.)· Basic understanding of mathematics and engineering· Computer networking and related control system software experience· Low voltage wiring and testing experience· Demonstrated planning and organizational skills· Effective written and verbal communication ability, in the English language· Pass a drug screening, driving record and criminal/credit background investigation*Education Requirements*· Minimum High School diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceCompensation Package:* Bonus opportunitiesSchedule:* 8 hour shiftWork Location: In person
