Hospitality Associate - Tour/Tasting Guide

Job Summary:The Hospitality Associate - Tour/Tasting Guide position is a generalist position in the Hospitality Department at Garrison Brothers Distillery with a focus on Tours and Tastings. The Hospitality area consists of the Gift Shop, Whiskey Shack, and Tour Experiences for the guests. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a safe and enjoyable experience for Hospitality guests while visiting Garrison Brothers Distillery.*Responsibilities and Duties:*Retail Functions* Cash handling/ retail and ticket sales* Opening and closing duties to include drawer activation/ reconciliation;restocking; bourbon count. Supply inventory, bar setup etc.* Maintain visual and brand standards for hospitality area Customer Service and Hospitality* Provide a high-end hospitality experience from greeting to departure for every guest or internal customer* Engage with guests in a variety of settings- in person, via phone or other forms of company communication- refer to appropriate GBD personnel as necessary* Take and process reservation requests and assist walk in guests with ticket sales* Assist customers in gift shop with questions, cross-sell and promote as necessary and be available for guest inquiry. Strive to achieve company directed team goals* Act as a concierge to all guests, providing helpful information and answering questions* Maintain a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude to exceed guest expectations* Manage guest dissatisfaction swiftly & discreetly. Resolve outstanding issues with the support of Supervisor/Lead when necessary *Support internal requests as needed to cross-collaborate with other departments** Follow the directions given by the Departmental Leads while working under their supervision and oversight.Tour/Tasting Guide* While conducting Tour Experiences for guests – will be required to drive a jeep and transport guests safely to other parts of the Garrison Brothers Distillery property.* Provide a 5 star tour or tasting experience for every guest* Must have the ability to educate guests through a tasting* Must have the ability to conduct a tour group of 30+ guests* Will need to adhere to a strict timeline for tastings and/or toursSupport Functions* Provide logistical support for: experience set up, strike down, guest traffic control, responsibility practice, cocktails, media/audio or any other function as necessary* Assist with sanitation of necessary equipment, tasting supplies or space as needed* Support any additional Hospitality projects as requested* Trash pickup/bussing guest areasInventory Processing* Accurately count in/ receive new inventory* Assist with pricing, organization, and stocking* Maintain and communicate supply inventory needs to Management* Participate in inventory cycle counts and full year inventoryOther* Must be willing to do all responsibilities assigned in a timely and efficient manner.* Other duties as assigned.*Job Qualifications and Requirements*Skills necessary are ability to follow directions fully and completely – including, but not limited to, adhering to the scheduled work assignments. Additionally, must understand the needs of the guests and fulfill those needs within the departmental guidelines as developed through training and oversight. Must work closely with other Hospitality employees in a respectful and courteous manner. Excellent attendance and punctuality are mandatory.*Work Environment:*Work is performed primarily in an outdoor setting, in various weather conditions dependent on the season (hot, cold, rain, etc.) .
