Boarding Attendant

*Job Purpose:**Currently looking to hire a full time closing boarding attendant that is available to work 11am - 8pm shifts 5 days/week. *Boarding attendants provide direct contact, interaction, and care for the dogs and cats at our facility. Boarding attendants are responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of all furry guests staying with us.The Hydrant offers boarding, daycare, and grooming. Boarding attendants will pick up after dogs and cats, bathe dogs, and supervise in playgroup for up to 6 hours at times. Attendance and punctuality is a must!*Job Duties:** To ensure that all kenneled dogs are properly fed, watered and in good health.* To notify senior management or supervisor if any dogs appear to be sick or injured.* Ensure the kennels are in a safe and secure condition at all times and are thoroughly cleansed.* To take reasonable care of own and others’ safety; to co-operate with managers/supervisors in complying with statutory health & safety duties; to report incidents, accidents, faults etc.* Responsible for the provision and systematic capture of services in alignment with company policy and guests requests* Responsible for accountability of guests and all associated belongingsSkills/Qualifications:* Previous dog handling experience is preferred, but not necessary!* Must demonstrate compassion and empathy towards animals and possess the ability to work in high stress, high noise, and fast-paced environment.* To be friendly and have good manners with all human customers!* Be able to use basic analytical skills to solve problems autonomously* Position requires bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying of objects upwards of 50 lbs.
