*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Employee Care (DEC) to join our team. This role is pivotal in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring effective communication between employees and management. The Director of Employee Care (DEC) is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality of ongoing caregiving services provided to Home Care Assistance of Dayton clients and family members. The DEC will oversee the employee care department, which includes HCA Professional Caregivers and Employee Care Managers, ensure proper oversight and support, and be a leading representative of the department out in the community on behalf of HCA of Dayton. Working with the management team, the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.*Essential Duties and Responsibilities**1. Employee Care Management*a. Manage and oversee the employee care department comprised of professional caregivers and employee care managersb. Serve in a supportive and backup capacity to employee care managers (Recruitment Manager & Scheduling Manager) as neededc. Manage caregiver wellness and retention effortsd. Calculate caregiver monthly bonus program payoutse. Execute in house training program for all caregivers. Ensure caregivers are paid for training hours when their annual training is completed.f. Oversee all caregiver incident reporting, working with respective client care managerg. Conduct Quality Assurance (QA) visits for professional caregivers throughout their tenure of serviceh. Participate in new caregiver orientation and new caregiver welcome meetingi. Maintain employee morale and oversee employee processes through phone and in-person communications*2. HR Generalist*a. Income Verification for existing and past employeesb. Administer employee discipline program, ensuring that client care coordinators are implementing the progressive discipline program uniformly. Participate in corrective counseling sessions along with the employees’ supervisor or other appropriate witness.c. Coordinate employee performance appraisal system, ensuring that annual performance evaluations are conducted by supervisors of all full time employees with an appropriate rate increased. Prepare garnishment answerse. Manage employee benefits program including determining eligibility based on the company’s definition of a full time employee. Coordinate open enrollment meetings conducted monthly by our insurance broker/third party administratorf. Ensure all caregivers have current driver’s license, vehicle registration and vehicle insuranceg. Administer petty cashh. Work Comp Administrationi. Oversee all new hire and termination proceduresj. Act as main point of contact for all caregiver benefit questions3. *Other Territory Support:*a. DEC is required to act as the primary backup for other office staff (CCM, ECM, etc.) when they are unavailable. In this capacity, they may be required to take prospect calls, update ClearCare and deal with emergency client/caregiver situationsb. DEC is required to participate in on-call rotation after business hours for client and caregiver support, including email, telephone, and/or home visits.4. *Office Operations:*a.
