*Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of culinary techniques, food safety, and meal preparation. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals that meet the dietary needs of our clients while ensuring high standards of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.*Duties** Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.* Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.* Assist in menu planning, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences.* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.* Collaborate with dietary aides and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service.* Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages to management.* Participate in training sessions related to culinary skills, food handling, and safety protocols.*Requirements** Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role within the food industry.* Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and menu planning.* Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.* Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.* Certification in food handling or culinary arts is preferred but not required.* Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays.Join our team and contribute your culinary skills to create memorable dining experiences!Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.50 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekShift:* Day shift* Evening shiftAbility to Commute:* Olympia, WA 98502 (Required)Work Location: In person
