Are you an experienced *Prepared Foods Manager* with a passion for natural foods, food safety, and efficient production planning? Join our community-owned grocery cooperative and lead our deli to success with fresh, ready-to-eat meals, breakfast options, and daily specials.About the Role:The *Prepared Foods Manager* is responsible for purchasing, pricing, staffing, food safety, and planning all aspects of deli operations. We’re seeking someone with a strong background in grocery store deli work who can implement production plans, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and build a team focused on excellent customer service.Responsibilities:* Lead daily deli operations, ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient workspace* Develop and execute *production plans* for grab-and-go meals, breakfast items, and rotating lunch specials* Purchase ingredients, negotiate with vendors, and manage inventory* Maintain accurate pricing, labeling, and margin goals* Hire, train, and supervise deli staff with a focus on team building and customer service* Coordinate with other departments and participate in co-op-wide planning* Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times* Create attractive, well-stocked displays and manage product rotationWhat We’re Looking For:* Previous *deli management experience* in a grocery store environment (required)* Strong understanding of *food safety and sanitation protocols** Ability to build and maintain production plans and prep schedules* Proficient in *Excel and Google Drive** Organized, detail-oriented, and a hands-on leader* Comfortable lifting 25–50+ lbs* Familiarity with natural and organic foods preferred* Strong communication and customer service skillsWhy Work With Us?* Work in a *community-centered, values-driven* co-op* Take leadership in a small but growing department* Collaborate with a passionate team* Help shape our deli into a destination for fresh, wholesome mealsJob Type: Full-timePay: From $23.00 per hourExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Paid time off* Paid trainingShift:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Morning shiftAbility to Commute:* High Falls, NY 12440 (Required)Work Location: In person
