Blackbelly Market is looking for an experienced line cook to join our rockstar culinary team. Blackbelly Market is Breakfast/Lunch only (no nights) and would require some early morning shifts for breakfast.Our program is based on:- Nose-to-tail butchering program in house with a focus on full utilization of all product, a lack of waste, and an appreciation for the animals we have the pleasure of serving.- House cured and fermented charcuterie.- A chef driven kitchen with the breadth of knowledge to stretch and challenge not only our staff, but the clientele.- An eclectic, ever changing wine and beer list with a passion for the little guy, biodynamics, organics, and locality.- A close relationship with our farmers, ranchers, and all local purveyors.- Involvement in our community, and responsibility to maintain its high standardsRESPONSIBILITIES:* Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies* Preparing food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)* Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff* Adhering to company protocols and directives from Culinary Leadership* Clean up station and take care of leftover food·* Stock inventory appropriately* Ensure that food comes out in high quality and a timely fashion* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers* Cooking experience in a professional kitchen* Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks* Any Butcher and BBQ experience is very desirable but not requiredPay includes base hourly rate and a shared tip pool.Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 – 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insurancePeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyExperience:* Restaurant experience: 2 years (Required)Work Location: In person
