*Job Title: *Activities Specialist*Reporting to: *Street Outreach/Hub Coordinator*Location: *The Core Collective at Saint Vincent*Mission Statement: *At The Core Collective, we are on a mission to make wellbeing the standard for St. Louis. We improve healthcare for families, advance socio-economic equity, and activate conscious leaders.Guided by our core values of Wellbeing, Healing, Community, Compassion, and Trust, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.*Position Overview:*The Activities Specialist plans, organizes, and facilitates structured recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities for youth within The Hub, and other outreach venues. They work collaboratively across departments to ensure programs are engaging, supportive, trauma-informed, and logistically sound. This role actively contributes to the personal growth and wellbeing of vulnerable youth through intentional programming and relationship building.*Qualifications:**Education:** Bachelor’s degree required; master's in human services, Nutrition, Sports, or Recreation preferred*Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.* The ideal candidate should have at least one (1) year of experience in providing therapeutic recreational activities in individual and group settings. Experience outreach services, activities and/or case management services are preferred.* Experience and knowledge of adolescent development, child welfare, trauma-informed clinical approaches, and working with highly vulnerable youth is preferred*Skills:** Adaptable, strong interpersonal communication, organized, trauma-informed approach, collaborative.*Additional:** Must pass a background check and complete First Aid/CPR/Medication Administration within 45 days of hire (training provided).*Key Responsibilities:** Must subscribe to a collaborative team mentality and exhibit the ability to cultivate trust and inspire confidence within a team structure.* Develop and implement a calendar of structured, youth-centered activities.* Facilitate recreational experiences that promote the development of emotional and behavioral regulation skills.* Collaborate with Outreach Coordinator and Staff to ensure preparation and support for activities.* Work collaboratively with youth to develop a personalized health plan, identify internal and external barriers to achieving their goals, and support them in creating strategies to overcome these obstacles.* Maintain accurate and timely records.* Build and manage relationships with community partners and external organizations.* Ensure all activities align with trauma-informed, youth-empowerment principles.* Prioritize the physical and emotional well-being of participants and demonstrate professionalism by maintaining clear, appropriate boundaries with youth.* Represent The Core Collective’s mission in both internal and community-facing contexts.* Collaborate with external agencies and community partners interested in utilizing our facilities for joint programming or community-based activities, ensuring alignment with The Core Collective’s mission and program goals.* All other duties as assigned.*Benefits Include:** Paid Time Off (PTO)* Health Insurance (medical, dental, vision)* Life and disability coverage* 403(b) retirement plan* Flexible Spending Account (FSA)* Employee Assistance Program (EAP)* Access to employee only fitness room* Professional Development Assistance_This job announcement reflects the general nature of the work anticipated in this position.
