*Location Supervisor**Type: *Full-Time*Division: *DFW & Houston*Benefits:* Vision, Medical, Dental, Paid Time Off, 401k Plan with 4% MatchingThe Location Supervisor serves as the on-site manager and operational lead, responsible for overseeing staff, directing programs and events, and ensuring high standards in customer service, compliance, and facility operations. While this role includes instructional duties, the primary responsibility is the leadership, supervision, and management of the location and its personnel.*Staff Supervision & Operations Management** Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including cleanliness, atmosphere, customer experience, and safety. Manage USCF-rated tournaments as Chief TD: coordinate staff, run pairings, ensure rule compliance, and issue prize payouts.* Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and ensure sufficient cash flow for operations.* Conduct and report monthly inventory checks; manage stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.* Coordinate and maintain the location's lesson and event schedule; ensure instructor coverage and classroom readiness.* Resolve escalated customer issues and serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, and community members.* Act as the highest-ranking team member on-site, managing the location during operating hours, events, and special programs.* Supervise, train, and direct part-time staff across play nights, tournaments, and daily operations.* Provide input and recommendations on hiring, promotions, scheduling, and disciplinary decisions.* Enforce company policies, delegate responsibilities, and ensure smooth shift transitions.* Lead weekly or monthly team check-ins and contribute to staff performance reviews.*Program Delivery & Instruction** Teach chess in group classes, seasonal camps, and travel to school programs, using approved curriculum and age-appropriate techniques.* Supervise and facilitate play nights, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for all attendees.* Provide informal coaching and support to students and families to enhance engagement and retention.*Requirements:** High School Diploma or GED.* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.* Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.* Professional demeanor and effective teamwork skills.* Patience, flexibility, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively.* Prior teaching or chess experience is a plus.Job Type: Full-timePay: $50,440.00 - $54,080.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Employee discount* Flexible scheduleShift:* Day shift* Evening shiftExperience:* Management: 1 year (Preferred)* Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)* Night Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Plano, TX 75024 (Required)Work Location: In person
