Are you looking to join a team you can collectively learn and grow with?ABOUT THE JOB:As Event Chef, you will ensure that Harvest Moon Catering standards are upheld with consistent quality by the support the Lead Event Chef on events. THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION.GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS:* Efficiently serve food and beverage following the service sequence standards.* Possess competent food knowledge.* Understand and demonstrate proper usage of culinary equipment* Maintain awareness of safe operations in the kitchen or on events.* Adhere to set schedules and attendance to mandatory staff meetings.* Adhere to uniform requirements as published in the employee handbook.* Must be flexible enough to work a variety of shifts and environments.* Maintain professionalism in both appearance and behavior at all times.* Work well with staff, emphasizing teamwork.REQUIREMENTS:* 18 years or older for event positions.* Experience in the service industry is a plus.* Outstanding communication is required.* Attention to detail.* High Profile industry experience is a plus.* An enthusiasm to learn and grow with Harvest Moon!* A passion for food with an exceptional work ethic.* Lift and transport items up to 30 lbs. from the kitchen to the event floor.* Frequently reaches, lifts, stoops, bends and cleans to maintain service areas.* Walks and stands during the entire shift.* Effectively communicates verbally with staff.* Hazards may include but are not limited to: slips, falls, and burns.* Must be able to listen to directions and follow up with what has been asked.* Must make a positive impression on the guest.* Must be teamwork oriented.* Maintains proper safety and sanitation standards.* Know what it means to work hard, earn your stripes and enjoy doing it.* You're a team player that takes pride in serving food with integrity.* Think quickly on your feet, displaying both flexibility and ingenuity on events.WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?* Competitive wage with raises based on seasonal training benchmarks.* Evaluation and future advancement.* Great experience with a great team.* Minimum of 3 shifts per month.* Flexible scheduling.Please Apply Online at HMCatering.com or Call 434-296-9092 for more detailsJob Type: Part-timePay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 – 50 per weekWork Location: In person
