We are seeking full-time Plant Operators to join our team. The Plant Operators will be responsible for the operation, repair, and maintenance of oilseed processing equipment and the loading and unloading of grain and vegetable oil trucks.Duties and Responsibilities:* Become proficient in operating commodity scaling software.* Become proficient with the PLC operating system for plant operation.* Complete the 90-day training checklist within time period allowed.* Commodity sampling and testing, including quality and GMO testing via manual truck probing.* Effectively operate production equipment including a grain dryer, extruders, oil presses, hammer mills, and various grain conditioning and handling equipment.* Gain proficiency in controlling machinery from remote PLC and routinely adjust components to meet processing requirements.* Monitor processes for product quality and adjust as necessary to maintain quality.* Obtain product samples as needed at defined points in the production process to verify quality, as directed by quality program. Based on test results, adjust production processes as necessary to meet quality standards. Plant Operators are responsible for ensuring product meets quality standards.* Assist maintenance personnel with equipment repairs, both routine and unscheduled.* Keep track of on-hand product volumes and complete a daily inventory.* Complete all paperwork forms and checklists required for quality, operation, loading, and unloading.* Clean and perform routine housekeeping of the plants and surrounding areas.* Gain proficiency in operating the following equipment: forklift, skid loader, and site-truck.* Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times.Other responsibilities include:* Grading and unloading oilseeds as needed.* Efficient loading of trucks.* Ability to move, sample, and unload railcars.Physical Requirements:* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.* Ability to climb ladders and work in high spaces.* Ability to work in confined areas.* Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled atmosphere.* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications:* High school diploma or equivalent* Manufacturing, feed mill, or production experience preferred.* Knowledge of industrial equipment and machinery is a plus.* Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.* Employee should possess a positive attitude, work well with others, and be a team player.Shift Schedule:* We have a two-week rotating schedule where employees work a total of at least 10 days within the two-week period.
