Come work in the beautiful Pocono Mountains. Mountain View Vineyard is a 100 acre sustainable winery, brewery, and distillery. Our bistro is small but mighty. We offer healthy options with a unique and delicious twist.The Bistro at Mountain View Vineyard is open 7 days a week from 11am to 6pm Sunday-Thursday. Monday, Friday and Saturdays until 9pm. We occasionally host special events that require our kitchen to stay open until 10pm. Must be available to work weekends.Pay rate is negotiable depending on experience. Vacation pay, sick days & PTO available after waiting period. Employee discount and one free employee meal per 8 hour shift.We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to exact specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Kitchen Manager with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Candidate may be required to work outside at one of our outdoor food bars which include a wood fire pizza oven and grill.*Responsibilities** Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies* Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, etc.)* Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff* Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions* Clean up station and take care of leftover food* Stock inventory appropriately* Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion* Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards* Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers*Skills** Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook* Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures* Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks* Familiar with industry’s best practices* Culinary school diploma or 2 years line cook experienceJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: From $17.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Employee discount* Paid trainingExperience:* Restaurant experience: 1 year (Required)License/Certification:* ServSafe Certification (Preferred)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Preferred)* Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: In person
