We are convinced that by honoring the dignity and worth of the individual, and by recognizing his/her contribution and their efforts, Rising Stars of Wilmington will continue to be a mutually satisfying place to work.We will consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, creed, color, national origin, physical disability, sex, marital status, sexual orientation or religion, and accommodations for persons with disabilties.Duties:- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in a childcare setting.- Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to promote childhood development- Supervise and engage children in play, educational activities, and outdoor playtime- Assist with mealtime, including preparing and serving snacks or meals- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility or classroom- Monitor children's behavior and implement behavior management techniques when necessary- Communicate with parents/guardians regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care.Qualifications:- Previous experience in childcare, such as babysitting, nannying, or working in a daycare or preschool setting- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents/guardians, and other staff members- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children- Must be willing to obtain and maintain Basic First Aid Training, CPR, MAT (Medication Administration Training, Maltreatment Training among other required training modules online.- High school diploma or equivalent (required)- Additional certifications in childhood development or early childhood education (preferred)- Must be willing to obtain a physical prior to employmentNote: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
