Giant Industries is currently seeking a skilled *Warranty Conversion Technician* to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and performing repairs on equipment or products returned under warranty. You will also complete product conversions, retrofits, and modifications according to company specifications and engineering updates. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.*Requirements: *To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.· High school diploma or GED required· Technical School training or associate degree in a related field preferred· 2+ years of experience in mechanical repair, assembly, or a related technical field· Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics· Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment· Basic computer skills for documentation and communication· Read and understand complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos· Write correspondence in detail· Verbally present information in one-on-one group situations (to management and/or other employees)· Mathematical skills – add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals). Use a calculator, ruler, calipers, micrometers, or simple math for the same correct result· Reasoning ability to carry out detailed and/or uninvolved written and/or oral instructions· Work environment – ensure that work area is clean and safe*Physical demands:*The physical and visual demands described here are requirements of the position that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
