Pastry chef/Baker Assistant

We were just named Yelp's number one restaurant in all of Los Angeles. With our authentic French pastries, delicious gourmet coffee and fresh-baked baguette sandwiches, quiches and ever growing popularity, we are looking for dedicated, professional baker/pastry chef assistant . We are currently looking for quality-minded, reliable, happy individuals with strong organizational and multitasking skills to start immediately.What we are looking for...- Experience working as a baker- Experience with French baking / french pastry a plus- Must be comfortable working quickly and positively in a team environment- Able to work early shifts- Prior experience in high volume kitchen- Be a team player- Looking for long term position, involved in a growing company, possibility for rapid growth- Maintain a positive attitude and have excellent communication skills- Adaptable and are able to thrive in a team environment.- Ability to shift gears quickly and multitask.- Handle pressure with easeMinimum qualifications required:- One or more years of experience as a Baker/Pastry chef assistant- Able to communicate effectively with managers and kitchen personnel- Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds- Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time- candidates in (or freshly graduated) Culinary schools with no experience yet are welcome to apply.This candidate will be able to back-up fellow employees where and when needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.We are looking forward to meeting you!Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hourCompensation Package:* TipsSchedule:* Holidays* Weekends as neededWork Location: In person
