*Job Title: *Human Resources Generalist*Job Classification: *Full-Time, Salary/Exempt*Location:* Anderson, Indiana (On-Site)*Company Overview*Madison County Beverage Distributor seeks an experienced Human Resources Generalist who will play a key role in managing the Company’s recruitment efforts and handling day-to-day HR transactions. This role demands a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role reports directly to the General Manager and will work closely with all department leaders to understand staffing needs, drive recruitment campaigns and ensure efficient HR practices that support the Company’s objectives.*Job Description*As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be instrumental in shaping our Company culture and workforce. This role requires a tactical thinker with a hands-on approach to handling day-to-day HR operations, while also providing insights and leadership that support our overall business objectives.* Manage all aspects of HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.* Develop and implement HR policies and initiatives that align with the overall business strategy, ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations; Uphold the Company’s policies, processes and procedures at all times.* Nurture a positive working environment by ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication.* Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.* Lead the recruitment process including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.* Maintain employee records and documentation to policy and legal requirements, including DQFs (Driver Qualification Files, FMCSA requirements, i9 Files, employee personnel and training files.* Manage all aspects of the Company’s DOT/FMCSA compliance programs, including Driver Qualification Files and Drug-Free Workplace Programs.* Provide Administrative support for Employee Leave and Benefits programs including 401k benefits, health benefits, vacation benefits and other leave programs including FMLA.* Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.* Conduct research and benchmark analyses to recommend competitive pay and benefits programs.* Conduct regular skills (and skills gap) analyses to recommend strategic Training, Cross-Training & Leadership Development plans.* Assist in Unemployment & Worker’s Compensation claims.* Uphold strict standards of discretion and confidentiality.* Provide support updating and maintaining job roles, and all Company manuals including Employee Handbook, Business Unit Manuals/Process Guides, FMCSA Compliance Manuals, etc.* Assist with the development of the Company’s intranet system (SharePoint).* Assist with the organization of all Company stewardship and morale events.* Conduct employee surveys (formal and informal) to assess employee engagement.* Develop reports for senior management on HR metrics (time to hire, cost per hire, turnover rate, new hire turnover rate, employee engagement, etc.) to enable strategic decision-making.* Serve as the point of contact for employment relations matters that fosters prompt and professional discussions and resolutions*Qualifications: ** Proven experience as an HR professional with a significant focus on recruiting ,hiring, onboarding, retention, training and and HR operations.* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related Business Administration degree* Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.* Excellent people management skills and the ability to handle complex situations.* Effective communication and leadership skills.* Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
