Mold Clean & Service Technician - First Shift

*RESPONSIBILITIES*· Perform routine maintenance of injection molds and tooling (fixtures, jigs, and gages) in support of production.· Provide input to support improvements of existing mold designs where applicable.*DUTIES*· Accurately fill out proper documentation for maintenance and work orders etc. in support of mold and tooling history.· Add any MRO activity and asset updates into IQMS, (ERP system)· Notify Tool Room Lead to order materials and components in a timely manner.· Maintain the cleanliness of the equipment and the Tool Room.· Wear protective safety equipment (PPE).· Follow all established company procedures ex: (vacation planning, personal time, clock punching and training).· Make suggestions to improve molds, procedures, and products.· Follow preventative maintenance procedures to keep Tool Room equipment in appropriate condition.· Any other projects/tasks as assigned by management.*EDUCATION*· High School diploma, Technical High School desirable.*EXPERIENCE*· Knowledge of plastic injection molding and tooling.· Knowledge function and proper handling procedure for various features of an injection mold.· Ability to use precision measuring equipment.· Experience with data entry and/or general aptitude with computers required.*PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS*· Excellent punctuality and time management skill required.· Highly organized and detailed with a positive attitude.· Work well under pressure and pays close attention to details.· A strong sense of responsibility.· Highly self-motivated.· Team player.· Willing to work overtime when required.· Creative and flexible.· Excellent communication skills.*ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS*· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.· Transportation of injection molds between storage racks, carts, tool room benches, machines etc. is required daily.*REPORTING RELATIONSHIP*· Tool Room Lead· Majority of work assigned by the tool room lead.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Professional development assistance* Retirement plan* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Waterbury, CT 06705: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:* Mold Clean and Service: 2 years (Preferred)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Preferred)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Work Location: In person
