*Guest Host*We're on the hunt for a new team member! *Please note that this position primarily involves evening shifts.* Our hours are 4pm till 10pm on the weekdays, 12-midnight on Saturday and 12-8pm on Sunday. We only need help during these these operating hours so please make sure you can work those times before applying .Who are we? Foundry Social is the premier Northeast Ohio entertainment facility, and is located in the heart of Medina, Ohio. We serve guests and clients from Cleveland, Akron, Medina, and surrounding communities.A Guest Host greets and escorts guests to tables in the facility, maintaining a courteous and efficient operation of the entire room to ensure guest satisfaction using the reservation system. The guest host will also direct traffic, explain the facility options for fun, and respond to the needs of the guests. In addition, the guest host will make gaming reservations for the guests, accept payment, and provide access to games.To be successful in this role, you must display a positive attitude with a smile and be focused on delivering a top-level entertainment experience for each guest. We are committed to our employees and dedicated to making a difference in their lives and in the lives of our guests.*Duties and Responsibilities – The Fine Print** Greets guests as they arrive and describes our fun options in an engaging manner.* Maintains proper set up of entire room and to be prepared for guests at opening on a daily basis.* Receives, records and makes any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the facility.* May also function as a concierge for special events.* Keeps reservation system up to date throughout their shift.* Ensures cleanliness of lobby and host area. Front of House (FOH) should be free of debris.* Helps servers to turn tables by bussing and pre-bussing if necessary.* Assists with running food to guests for the servers.* Make reservations for games and assigns games as necessary.* Perform financial transactions within POS system.* Performs all other duties as assigned.*Skills and Qualifications*To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.* *Other Qualifications* – Ability to full comprehend guest requests, memos, reservations, promotional materials, event orders, and similar written materials. Ability to move throughout the crowded room of seated guests. Ability to recognize different menu items to properly assist in food running if necessary. Ability to perform any general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products assigned. Adhere to health standards. A guest host always has the customer in mind, and they establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.* *Listening*- Refers to the ability to be an attentive and active listener and have the patience to hear people out.*PHYSICAL DEMANDS:*While performing the duties of this job, the individual is to remain in a stationary position for 10 percent of the time. The individual needs to occasionally move about on the restaurant floor to access tools, equipment, parts, and other necessary items to complete the work order. Most of the activities involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to exchange accurate information with other individuals in the restaurant. They must regularly lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 60 pounds. The individual must be capable of carrying and loading different parts and tools required to do the job.*WORK ENVIRONMENT:*While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals (cleaning/sanitary chemical).
