Evening Massage Therapy Instructor

Our school blends academic rigor with hands-on practice, fostering a supportive environment where students grow both professionally and personally.*Position Overview:*We are seeking a passionate and experienced Massage Therapy Instructor to teach evening courses as part of our licensed massage therapy program. The ideal candidate is committed to student success, demonstrates strong communication skills, and brings real-world experience to the classroom. Evening instructors are responsible for delivering engaging, practical, and compliant instruction to adult learners.*Responsibilities:** Teach assigned massage therapy classes in accordance with state regulations and institutional curriculum* Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on demonstrations covering topics such as massage theory and practice, special populations, and massage specialties* Supervise students during practical lab sessions, ensuring correct techniques and professional conduct* Assess student progress through assignments, practical evaluations, and feedback* Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning and growth* Collaborate with other instructors and administrative staff to maintain curriculum integrity and educational standards* Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance* Stay current with industry trends and maintain licensure in good standing*Required Qualifications:** Current Missouri massage therapy license in good standing* Minimum of 3 years of hands-on massage therapy experience* Previous teaching or training experience strongly preferred* Knowledge of a variety of massage modalities and ability to teach both theory and practical applications* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills* Evening availability required (weeknight schedule)* Commitment to the mission and values of COMO Institute of Massage and Bodywork*Preferred Qualifications:** Experience working in an educational or clinical setting* Familiarity with trauma-informed bodywork, ethics, and professional standards* CPR certification and/or teaching credentialsJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discountSchedule:* Monday to Friday* Night shift* Weekends as neededAbility to Commute:* Columbia, MO 65202 (Required)Work Location: In person
