CNC Machinist

This position is responsible for performing many duties to Setup and Operate Mazak Multi-axis Turning Centers to produce high quality machined parts to customer’s specifications while maintaining quality and production logs as required.Responsibilities:Setup Mazak Turning Centers from setup sheets by loading programs into machine controller, loading workholding and cutting tools, setting work positions and tool offsets, and dry-running the program.Inspect and submit first article part with the required documents to Q.A. for approval.Once job is set up and running, constantly inspect parts visually, and with micrometers, caliper, and gages to maintain quality. Record in-process samples as required.Deburr parts from machine, wash or oil and package as required.Maintain cutting tools by offsets, or tool changes as needed.Perform routine maintenance such as: maintaining coolant and lubrication, oil skimmers, cleaning chip screens/baskets, cleaning workstation and machine as needed.Maintain communication with Quality, Maintenance, and Management personnel as needed.Record Setup and Production times, together with parts count into JobBoss.Requirements:Must be reliable, self-motivated and possess good verbal communication skills.Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders.Must have working knowledge of GD&T and have great math skills.Job Type: Full-timePay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hourExpected hours: 50 per weekBenefits:* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Health savings account* Paid time offSchedule:* 10 hour shift* Night shift* Overtime* Weekends as neededEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:* CNC Machining: 6 years (Required)* CNC Programming: 4 years (Required)Shift availability:* Night Shift (Preferred)Work Location: In person
