Position PurposeThe Team Leader is responsible for overseeing HPP associates.Delivers expectations and customer demands set by the HPP Manager and Supervisor.Oversees manufacturing activities and balances physical and mental tasks.Strong communicator who motivates a team to meet production goals.Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key AccountabilitiesAssign associates to work rotations, machines, and daily tasks.Communicate and execute work assignments to meet department and customer expectations.Supervise employees during shifts to ensure adherence to GMPs and Safety Regulations.Assist Supervisor with planning work schedules and product runs.Train associates and hold them accountable for departments, QA, Safety, and Company processes.Complete required departmental paperwork and ensure associate submissions are accurate.Required communication with leadership, QA, and USDA.Handle minor tasks as needed within the role.Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality.Monitor progress and track production.Motivate team members to achieve production goals.Examine completed work (in-process and finished goods) to detect defects and verify conformance.Collaborate with machine operators, supervisors, and management to ensure progress and meet deadlines.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience working in a cold environmentAdditional Responsibilities:Report any issues to the supervisor immediatelyCommunicate changeovers with quality and team lead to make sure a three- party verification takes placeLabel change outQualifications:Machine operator experience is desiredExperience working in a team environmentDisplay ability to meet daily deadlines and work in a fast-paced environmentProven satisfactory attendanceMust be flexible with work schedule and job duties in a changing work environmentGood communication skills (read, write, speak)Proven legible writing skillsHigh school diploma/GEDWorking Conditions:This is largely a static role; however, the ability to perform repetitive bending and standing up is also required.This would require the ability to lift 45 pounds or more on a regular basis.Must be able to push/pull up to 250 lbs. on rollers occasionally.Universal Pure facilities may process, pack, and store products containing allergenic food ingredients as referenced by FDA; team members who may come in direct contact must be able to work with these ingredients.The job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities.
