Plate Maker / Proofer

Impress Communications is currently looking for a passionate and self-motivated Plate maker/Proofer to join our Prepress Department.*About the position:*Impress is in search of an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Plate Maker/Proofer. The person in this position will be responsible for developing plates for our offset presses. The ideal candidate is an organized, energetic team player, a hands-on worker with excellent communications skills who can work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.*Responsibilities:** Direct-to-plate platesetter operator* Familiarity with print preparation and production* Adhering to established internal operating procedures* Experienced with design concepts for packaging* Maintain inventory records* Orders supplies required for the prepress department based on minimum/maximum quantity requirements* Maintain equipment to high operating standards* Perform other assigned tasks within the scope of the role*Required Skills and Experience:** Interpersonal skills, self-initiative to work independently and in a team environment* Strong quality control skills* A minimum of three years’ experience in the printing industry is necessary* Tenacious attention to detail with advanced organizational skills* Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with changing demands and competing priorities* Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs.*About the Company:*Impress Communications is an award-winning visual communications company delivering multifaceted, fully integrated creative solutions -- inspired graphic design & new media content, brand development, web development, innovative packaging, commercial printing, and digital photography.
