Barista/Market Team

_Kitty’s Market & Restaurant_ is a bustling café open 7 days-a-week offering a lively menu of coffee, in-house pastry, prepared foods & a small grocery section.We are looking to expand our team as we enter the warmer months and are hiring counter staff for our Market Café.Please note this position is hourly + TipsAt least one year of experience in either position is required.Barista experience is not necessary but is a BIG plus. We train our staff so if it's something that interested you, this is an opportunity to learn.The ideal counter candidate will have/be:* A friendly rapport with customers.* Keep a clean, orderly, and presentable work area.* Stock the floor and service area in the market.* Take customer orders, prep drink orders, manage to-go & online orders.* Clean front of house at closing.* Honor and share the core brand tenets: community, quality, inclusivity, and service.* Experience with cash handling & payment at a point of sale.* Eager to always learn.* A passion for authentic customer service and hospitality.* Pride themselves on presentation and craft.* Promotes coffee consumption by educating customers; preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, along with pastries and cookies.● Welcomes customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.● Educates customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu; answering questions.● Prepares and sells coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, espresso lungo, caffe latte, and cappuccino.● Generates revenues by attracting new customers; defining new and expanded services and products.● Maintains inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply; stocking coffee brewing equipment; maintaining supplies, pastries, and cookies for coffee bar.● Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.● Maintains safe and healthy work environment by following organization standardsand sanitation regulations.● Improves quality results by studying, evaluating and improving the appearance of the store and coffee bar.● Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading coffee, retail trade, and food service publications.● Enhances coffee shop reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments._*Please feel free to reach out directly.to *_Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hourBenefits:* Employee discount* Flexible schedule* Paid time off* Paid trainingShift:* 4 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Evening shift* Night shiftExperience:* Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)* Guest services: 1 year (Required)Work Location: In person
