Each round-trip pleasure cruise is 105 minutes or 3 hours long, with about 1 hour prep beforehand & cleanup after. Guests bring their own food & drinks onboard to enjoy while they relax in the tropical vibes, listen to their favorite music, sing, dance, play some games that you will be trained on how to facilitate, and point out some historical points of interest to them on this laid-back ride around Huntington Harbor, NY.VESSELS:Cruisin' Tikis are 16'x16' US Coast Guard approved vessels that are a circular design with the captain in the middle of the boat with a wrap around tiki bar and chairs, there are railings circling the perimeter and a tiki style pvc thatched roof overhead. Our company comes from a 26 passenger COI vessel background, so each tiki boat is equipped with advanced safety equipment, exceeding the expected requirements for vessels in its class. It's equipped with a 30HP outboard single engine and is a ton of fun!RESPONSIBILITIES:Cleaning and prepping the vessel before the start of the tour, as well as after the tour. Ensuring all marina walkways, docks, and facilities remain clean and presentable.Providing a fun, friendly, social, interactive and safe environment for the passengers on board during their entire experience.Communicating with management about issues arising from operations or required maintenance on the vessel.SCHEDULE:Our season runs until the end of October. We are looking for Captains who are eager to work and have some fun. Tours will be available every day, but the majority of tours will take place on Friday evenings, Saturdays, & Sundays. Hours of operation are between 10am & 10pm. Based on your availability, you can plan on captaining 1-4 tours per day.EARNINGS & CREDENTIALS:Captains can expect to earn a take-home pay of about $95-$180 per tour between pay and tips. You must have at least an OUPV(6-pack) license to operate the Cruisin' Tiki Boats.
