Experienced Keyboard Player

*Overview*We are seeking an experienced and talented Keyboard Player to join our team. The ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys playing music (Gospel & Contemporary Christian), especially in a church environment, and who takes pride in being prepared musically and is committed to being actively involved/contributing in rehearsals, while also maintaining a spirit of humility, reverence, and professionalism, both on and off stage.Musicians should possess the necessary musical skills for their role ( playing instruments and/or singing) and MUST be able to read music, stay on pitch, and harmonize. Musicians should thrive in a team environment and approach worship with a humble and reverent attitude, recognizing the sacred nature of the activity.The ideal candidate would approach their role with a servant's heart, prioritizing the congregation's and the team's needs. They would be passionate about exalting God, encouraging the saints, and influencing the lost through music.*Responsibilities** Perform music for live audiences, rehearsals, and recordings.* Collaborate with Worship Leader, directors, and other musicians to create cohesive performances.* Interpret musical scores and adapt pieces as necessary for specific performances or productions.* Participate in rehearsals to refine musical arrangements and enhance overall performance quality.* Maintain instruments and equipment in good working condition.* Engage with the audience during performances to create an enjoyable experience.* Stay updated on industry trends and new music styles to bring fresh ideas to the team.*Skills** Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.* Strong vocal abilities (optional) with experience in performance settings.* Ability to read sheet music.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.* Adaptability and creativity in interpreting music for different genres and styles.* Strong work ethic and commitment to delivering high-quality performances.* Enthusiasm for performing live music at various rehearsals, church services, and events.* Effective practice habits to maintain and improve musical skills.* Ability to effectively collaborate with Worship Leader, other musicians, and other Worship Team Members* Ability to engage with the congregation to create an enjoyable and interactive experience.Join us as we create memorable musical experiences that resonate with our congregation & community!Job Types: Part-time, ContractPay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hourExpected hours: 5 – 8 per weekApplication Question(s):* How many years of experience do you have reading music?* Are you available for rehearsals on Tuesdays from 6-8pm and Sunday Services from 8am - 10:30am?Experience:* Keyboard/Piano: 1 year (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Mooresville, NC 28117 (Required)Work Location: In person
