*General Manager – Landscaping Operations*We are currently seeking a *General Manager* who is highly motivated, innovative, and committed to excellence to oversee our landscaping operations. This is a leadership role that requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, hands-on management, and people development. The ideal candidate will be experienced in driving results, managing multiple projects, and creating efficient systems that maximize profitability and team success.*Key Responsibilities Operational Leadership** Create processes and systems to improve efficiency, reduce overtime/redundancy, and maximize profitability.* Set performance standards and define pace/direction of the team to ensure high engagement and performance.* Manage large and complex landscape projects including preparation, planning, installation, inspections, and maintenance.* Communicate project status, issues, successes, failures, and timelines to leadership.*Facility & Inventory Oversight** Place and track supply/equipment orders for accuracy and timely delivery.* Oversee daily maintenance of commercial site and office, including cleaning and trash disposal.* Maintain an inventory and supply list to avoid service interruptions.*Daily & Weekly Workflow** Perform daily morning and afternoon walks to check yard conditions, inventory shortages, and tagged plant material.* Supervise delivery and scheduling boards.* Review cash drawers, incoming orders, and delivery tickets daily.* Monitor employee scheduling for adequate coverage.* Inspect trucks daily for cleanliness, inventory, and mechanical condition.* Review weekly truck and tractor maintenance logs.* Execute special projects as needed.*Confidentiality & Ethics** Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company procedures, pricing, profit margins, and sales figures.* Violations are subject to immediate termination.*Business Growth & Customer Experience** Contribute knowledge and expertise to expand operations and meet sales goals, particularly by identifying new and innovative landscaping opportunities.* Solve problems efficiently and seek support when needed.* Provide outstanding service with a customer-first mindset and follow-through.*Physical & Scheduling Requirements** Must be able to lift 50 lbs.* Drive company vehicles as needed.* Primarily Monday–Friday position with expected 50–55 hour workweeks.
