Job Description

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Tooling & Mold Operations Supervisor is a working, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing and participating in the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of all in-house tooling and mold assets within the Seahunter product line. This position ensures that production schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements are met while driving team performance and process optimization.*Essential Functions & Responsibilities**Project & Maintenance Oversight*· Oversee routine and preventive maintenance, cleaning, and inspection of molds to support production readiness and product quality.· Maintain detailed logs of mold usage, maintenance, and repairs to plan for future needs.· Monitor and adjust daily activities to ensure quality, safety, and production objectives are achieved.*Project Planning & Execution*· Plan and manage multiple tooling and mold projects simultaneously for optimal resource utilization.· Forecast labor hours and project milestones to meet tooling delivery targets.· Track project progress with man-hour and percentage-completion metrics.*Leadership & Team Management*· Lead, train, and develop the Tooling & Mold team; assign tasks, monitor attendance, and conduct performance evaluations.· Motivate team members while reinforcing a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.· Champion department mission and contribute to company-wide values and goals.· Ensure team members leave their work area clean, organized, and safe at the end of each shift.*Process Improvement & Administration*· Oversee department budgets and inventory of supplies.· Drive and sustain Kaizen/5S activities, including documentation and implementation.· Provide daily reports on department progress and adapt priorities as needed.Other· Perform other related duties as assigned.*Requirements*· 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in a marine tooling manufacturing facility· Strong knowledge of marine manufacturing processes, composite tooling, and mold maintenance· Knowledge of current technologies including polymer releases i.e., Chemtrend FS1, PMC, CPR & Earthguard tooling gelcoat, tooling resins and the application of all.· Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets for chemicals and shop supplies.· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and verbal formats· Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and evolving environment.· Proven ability to teach, motivate, and support a team.· Commitment to company values of safety, integrity, innovation, and teamwork· Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel· High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.· Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.*Work Environment*This position operates primarily in a manufacturing plant environment with occasional outdoor projects. The facility is not air-conditioned and requires the ability to work in high heat and humidity. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas and may include gloves, respirators, coveralls, boots, and safety glasses.*Physical Demands*· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.· Frequent lifting, standing, kneeling, bending, and movement in and out of boats and tight workspaces.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceWork Location: In person
