*Job Title:* Packaging Associate*Department:* Packaging*Reports To:* Production Manager/Supv*FLSA Status:* Non-Exempt*Job Summary:*The Packaging Associate is responsible for efficiently packing, shipping, and organizing materials for transportation. This role involves working closely with supervisors to ensure timely deliveries, maintaining quality control, and adhering to safety protocols. The associate will perform a range of tasks to support packaging operations, including sorting, loading, and verifying products.*Key Responsibilities:** *Packing & Shipping:** Load, sort, and move products or materials manually or with equipment.* Strap and package materials to prepare them for shipping.* Organize kits efficiently to optimize shipping processes.* *Collaboration & Reporting:** Work with supervisors to ensure timely deliveries of packaged goods.* Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors.* Verify incoming products and materials against purchase orders or invoices.* *Transport & Staging:** Safely transport parts to the staging area for kit completion and packaging.* *Quality Control:** Inspect materials and products for defects before packing.* Ensure that packaging meets quality standards, including correct labeling, accuracy of contents, and packaging integrity.* Ensure the Pallet PO matches the work order, schematics and labels.* Assist in troubleshooting and resolving quality issues as they arise.* Record any quality discrepancies and communicate them to supervisors.* Sign off on schematics and packaging boxes when packaging orders are complete.* *Safety & Cleanliness:** Proactively maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.*Qualifications:** *Skills & Competencies:** Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete assignments.* Strong communication skills (both oral and written).* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.* Experience using a tape measure and reading schematics.* Strong attention to detail, particularly in quality control processes.*Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.* Capable of lifting, carrying, and moving items up to 30 pounds.*Work Environment:** The role involves working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment where exposure to machinery, packaging materials, and varying temperatures may occur.Job Type: Full-timePay: $15.50 - $16.00 per hourExpected hours: 48 per weekBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Employee discount* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 10 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* No weekends* OvertimeWork Location: In person
