You will help us professionally pack our amazing treats in addition to assisting us wherever help is needed in our candy making operation. This is a full time, year-round position that is eligible for health benefits and paid time off. Working hours are typically M-F 7:30am-4pm with some required Saturdays.While it is great if you have previous culinary experience, we can train you if you have the right attitude, work ethic, and a passion for delicious chocolate! You will work closely with our team of experienced Chocolatiers who will guide you and preside over quality control. While you will have the chance to learn our business, you must be willing to take responsibility for the cleanliness and quality of your work. For more information, visit us at DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities− Packing, bagging and helping to produce the complete range of Van Otis products− Ensuring that products are packed according to our standards in a timely focused matter− Helping with molding, dipping, cooking, cutting, funneling, and other candy making activities as needed− Restocking and organizing of packing material, ingredients, stock boxes, and finished products− Working quickly and efficiently, while maintaining a clean and organized workspace− Upholding product quality and professional workplace standards at all time− Helping out in retail store and customer service as needed− Taking care of daily and weekly cleaning duties− Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to timeRequired Qualifications− Motivated and reliable individual with packing/assembling experience (ideally in food)− Dependable team player who likes to wear many hats in a small food production environment− Able to work at fast pace and to follow directions− Used to work with urgency and attention to detail− Uphold standards of personal and workplace cleanliness− Able to receive constructive criticism and strive to improve areas of weakness− Food Safety Certification and being computer savvy is a plus− Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and be on your feet all day− Must love candy and be willing to taste samples frequently for quality control purposesHours and Shift Expectations (based on full-time employment)- Must be flexible with weekly work schedule; depending on time of the season, it can vary anywhere between 32 and 60+ hours per week- Must be able to work a significant amount of overtime during candy holidaysJob Type: Full-timePay: From $16.00 per hourExpected hours: 32 – 60 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceSchedule:* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Evenings as needed* Monday to Friday* Morning shiftApplication Question(s):* What interests you about this position?Ability to Commute:* Manchester, NH 03101 (Required)Work Location: In person
