Housekeeping Inspector

*Key Responsibilities** *Inspect & Sign-Off:* Conduct thorough inspections of stayover and checkout rooms using brand checklists; verify bed/bath standards, amenities, safety, and maintenance; release rooms in the PMS when guest-ready.* *Quality Coaching:* Provide real-time feedback and retraining to Room Attendants; model correct procedures and uphold standards for linen usage, chemicals, and cart/closet organization.* *Coordination:* Prioritize rush rooms, VIPs, early arrivals, and late checkouts; manage room status updates and discrepancy reports; escalate maintenance issues with accurate work orders.* *Public Area Support:* Spot-check public spaces and back-of-house for cleanliness and safety; assist during peak periods.* *Safety & Compliance:* Enforce PPE/chemical handling, SDS knowledge, and equipment safety; ensure proper use of signage (e.g., “Wet Floor”).* *Inventory & Documentation:* Audit amenities and linen par levels; track rework causes; maintain inspection logs and corrective actions.* *Deep-Clean & PM:* Verify completion and quality of deep cleans, high/low dusting, carpet care, grout/detail work, and preventive maintenance items.* *Guest Recovery:* Address cleanliness-related concerns promptly and professionally; follow up to ensure resolution.* *Leadership Support:* Assist with opening/closing procedures, board assignments, training/onboarding, and coverage when supervisors are off-duty.*Qualifications** 1–2 years of housekeeping experience required; prior inspector/lead experience in hospitality preferred.* Working knowledge of hotel standards and housekeeping SOPs; comfortable with PMS and work-order systems (e.g., Opera, HotSOS/Alice or similar).* Strong eye for detail, time management, and follow-through; able to coach with tact and professionalism.* Clear communication skills; bilingual a plus.* Must be reliable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.00 per hourExpected hours: No less than 40 per weekBenefits:* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Vision insuranceExperience:* Housekeeping Inspector: 1 year (Required)Language:* English (Required)Ability to Commute:* Dubuque, IA 52001 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Dubuque, IA 52001: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
