Regional Property Manager

*Job Overview*In this role, the Regional Property Manager will oversee a team of property managers responsible for the operations and performance of multiple properties. Specifically the portfolio consists almost exclusively of apartment buildings located in and around the Rogers Park neighborhood of Chicago. This senior-level role demands strong leadership, business acumen, and a deep understanding of the real estate industry.Core responsibilities include:* *Property Operations and Performance:* Overseeing daily operations, ensuring financial goals are met, conducting property inspections, and developing strategies to optimize performance.* *Team Leadership and Development:* Leading, mentoring, and supervising property staff, including hiring and training.* *Financial Management:* Developing and managing budgets, overseeing financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to financial policies.* *Tenant and Stakeholder Relations:* Building relationships with tenants, owners, and officials, addressing tenant concerns, and coordinating marketing efforts.* *Compliance and Risk Management:* Ensuring properties comply with laws and regulations, implementing safety measures, and mitigating risks.Qualifications for this role include:* A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.* At least 3 years of experience as a Regional Property Manager.* Strong financial skills, including budgeting and reporting experience.* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.* Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office.* Strong problem-solving abilities.Preferred qualifications include:* A Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation or other relevant certifications.* Experience in a regional management role.* Experience with affordable housing and knowledge of related regulations.*Company Information*Block Property Group is family-owned, Chicago-based property management company.
