This a temporary 60-day position with the possibility of going full-time benefit based on performance.*DESCRIPTION – Packaging Machine Operators needed on all shifts:** *7a-3p** *3p-11p ($1 shift diff)** *11p-7a ($2 shift diff)** *7am-7pm** *7pm-7am ($2 shift diff)**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE** Previous experience working as a packaging machine operator, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.* High school Diploma or GED preferred.*KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES** Working knowledge of food production principles* Excellent communication and organizational skills* Ability to multi-task and work various shifts to meet the needs of the business*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** Effectively communicates with the supervisor and/or operators to replenish necessary supplies as needed.* Ensures the code date is correct on pasta products; glue pot has correct temperature and is full. Take carton tare weights.* Monitors printer codes associated with the bagger and case packers to ensure cases are being marked with correct product name, format number, clock time, UPC number and product code.* Completes quality checks on glue seals and line, product dates, metal detector to ensure quality assurance in represented.* Checks the product in the shaker on an hourly basis to ensure quality standards are secure. Effectively communicates with forklift driver to replenish necessary supplies.* Reads and follows specifications to prepare dough.* Uses analytical equipment (thermometer, scale, water meter, hopper) to check ingredients.Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryPay: From $15.70 per hourSchedule:* 12 hour shift* 8 hour shift* Day shift* Monday to Friday* Night shift* OvertimePeople with a criminal record are encouraged to applyEducation:* High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:* manufacturing: 1 year (Preferred)* operator: 2 years (Preferred)Work Location: In person
