Canine Support Technician

*Canine Support Technician**Job Summary:*The Canine Support Technician assists in maintaining the health and comfort of dogs through cleaning, feeding, and basic care tasks. Support of handlers and managers by keeping the facility clean, organized, and well-stocked while assisting with dog handling as necessary.*Key Responsibilities:** Clean and sanitize kennels, play areas, and feeding stations* Assist with feeding, watering, and medicating dogs as needed* Help with bathing, nail trimming, and basic grooming* Restock supplies and assist with laundry and dishwashing* Support handlers with moving or transporting dogs* Report any health or behavioral concerns to the handlers or the manager* Perform any and all other duties to support the team and ensure quality care*Qualifications:** Prior experience in a kennel or pet care facility preferred* Must be detail-oriented and reliable* Able to work independently and with a team* Comfortable handling dogs of various sizes* Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds* Availability on weekends and holidays is required.* Must be flexible, as shift end times may vary, as working with live animals and clients can be unpredictable.*Pay & Schedule**Pay Range:** $16 – $18 per hour* Based on experience and responsibilities*Weekly Hours:** Up to 25 hours per week* Looking for someone who will stay on year-around*Shift Structure:** Shifts are split (morning & afternoon)* Single-shift applicants will be considered* Weekend availability is a must* Holidays and weekends will rotate*Weekly Schedule**Monday – Friday:** *Morning Shift: *7:45 AM – 10:00 AM* *Afternoon Shift: *3:45 PM – 6:00 PM*Saturday:** *Morning Shift: *8:00 AM – 10:00 AM* *Afternoon Shift: *Starts between 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM _/*Flexible – start time agreed upon by team, work for a 2-hour shift_*Sunday:** *Morning Shift: *8:00 AM – 10:00 AM* *Afternoon Shift: *3:00 PM – 5:00 PM*Bedtime Let-Out Shifts:** Optional late-night shift for bedtime bathroom break* Start time is flexible between 8:30 PM – 10:00 PM* Paid for a 1-hour minimumJob Type: Part-timePay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hourExpected hours: No more than 25 per weekBenefits:* Flexible scheduleAbility to Commute:* Altamont, NY 12009 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Altamont, NY 12009: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
