If you are passionate about customer service, have an engaging personality, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!*Key Responsibilities:** *First Impressions Matter: *As the first person guests encounter when they arrive, you will greet them with a warm and friendly demeanor, setting the tone for a memorable experience. You’ll also be the last person they see as they leave, ensuring they have a positive, lasting impression of their visit.* *Guide Guests to Their Ideal Tasting Experience: *You’ll be responsible for helping guests choose the tasting experience that best fits their expectations and preferences. Whether they’re new to wine or seasoned enthusiasts, you will guide them to the ideal space and experience to ensure their visit is exactly what they hoped for.* *Guest Service Excellence: *Provide exceptional customer service throughout the guest’s visit. Go above and beyond to meet their needs, answering questions, offering helpful suggestions, and ensuring that every guest leaves satisfied. You will need to maintain composure during busy times, remaining calm and efficient while managing multiple tasks and guest interactions.* *Efficient Time Management: *Time management skills are crucial, especially when the winery is at capacity. You will need to guide guests to their tasting spaces quickly and efficiently, helping to minimize wait times for additional guests. When guests arrive early for their scheduled tasting, you will manage the waitlist, offering alternative experiences, wine tastings, or shopping opportunities to keep them engaged.* *Transaction Handling: *You may be asked to assist with transactions through our Point of Sale (POS) system for phone orders, shipping orders, and carryout orders. As such, you must be at least 18 years old to process transactions and 21 years or older to pour wine.* *Reservation Management & Phone Calls: *Answer phone calls, book reservations, and assist with managing guest reservations during your shift. You will need to ensure that all reservations are handled promptly, and any changes or adjustments are communicated clearly.* *Provide a Warm Welcome: *Pour the welcome wine for guests as they begin their tasting experience. This personal touch helps make guests feel special and excited about their time at the winery.* *Knowledge of Winery Policies & Procedures: *You will need to understand and communicate the winery’s comp policies, provide accurate information about staff lunches, and assist with maintaining the flow in all areas, including the garden, deck, tasting room, garage, and retail shop.* *Team Player: *Work closely with other staff members to ensure a seamless experience for guests. You’ll receive hands-on training with our Hospitality Manager to ensure you’re fully prepared for your role. Being a key communicator within the team and contributing to opening and closing tasks is essential.*Qualifications*:* *Previous Experience: *Experience in a fast-paced winery, restaurant, brewery, or hotel environment is highly preferred. We’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting and can multitask effectively.* *Customer Service Skills: *You must have a friendly, warm personality and the ability to engage with guests in a positive, helpful manner. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage multiple guests at once are essential.* *Time Management & Efficiency: *Strong time management skills are critical. You should be able to handle busy periods with efficiency and composure, ensuring that guests are seated quickly and are well taken care of.* *Adaptability: *Must be comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and able to adapt to changing circumstances and guest needs.
