At Laurence, employees have the opportunity to thrive in a stimulating and diverse environment, where new ideas, opportunities, skills, and experiences are constantly being exchanged and shared.Laurence School is seeking a Support Staff to support classroom teachers, instruction and staff.*Duties and responsibilities include:**Classroom Instruction, Faculty and Staff Support including but not limited to: ** Help prepare/copy materials and assist lead teacher with class curriculum* Help to prepare bulletin boards and other aspects of the classroom environment* Develop each student’s confidence, empathy, knowledge, and skills* Support Staff and Faculty as needed* Assist with carpool, including bus boarding*School Environment** Promote social development and responsibility within a caring community where each student is treated fairly and respectfully* Assist with morning and afternoon carpool and supervision of students, including duties as needed*Professional Growth and Learning** Maintain all CPR and First Aid certifications as required by school*Job Requirements** Bachelor’s Degree preferred* Interest and experience working with young children* Experience working effectively to advance diversity, equity, and Inclusion* Strong organization, collaboration, and communication skillsHours: Candidate should be available between 7:45 a.m. 5:15 p.m. dailyJob Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 - 40 hours per weekSchedule:* Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:* Van Nuys, CA 91401: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: In person*Nondiscrimination Policy:*Laurence School is an equal opportunity employer.
