Assistant Manager

Denny's is looking to add a manager to our team. The right candidate must be professional, reliable, honest, and have a strong work ethic. This position involves enforcing sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, servicing the customers, and coaching the team members. PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Greets all customers, applies suggestive selling techniques, records orders, ensures prompt placement of orders, conduct a pre-shift walk through. Directs and establishes priorities for team members during their shift. Assigns workstations. May coach, or verbally correct team members. Reports disciplinary problems to the management team. Assigns breaks. Will cover a workstation when needed. Works all stations according to expectations. Creates and maintains a positive work environment, ensuring Open Communication. Reports team members relations issues to the Human Resources Manager. Ensures the operation of the restaurant complies with requirements of the Operations Manual. Trains and cross-trains team members. Is accountable for proper handling of all food products. Ensures products meet standards. Prevents food shortages, waste and theft. Ensures that service meets expectations for speed, accuracy, and friendliness. Resolves guest complaints with professionalism. Checks in deliveries according to established procedures.
