*SERVER/WAITSTAFF**JOB DESCRIPTION*After a $10M restoration and expansion, Le Chateau (/ IG: @lechateau/_ny) re-opened in the fall of 2017, exclusively for weddings and private events. We are seeking motivated individuals to join our waitstaff team, where you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, under the leadership of our Maître D'. We are looking to start training/filling shifts in February and March.*HOURS + PAY** This is an hourly position with the potential of up to 30 to 40 hours per week in the peak season (May through November), with additional shifts available during off peak months.* Our events are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, in the afternoon/evening, with some Thursday’s events as well. A typical work shift is 2pm-11pm, or 3pm-12am. Our events do not run past 11pm, and we only host one event per day.* We are looking for candidates who can commit to working at least two shifts per weekend, if possible (i.e., Friday/Saturday, or Saturday/Sunday, or Friday/Sunday).* The Pay is $20 per hour.* A hot meal is provided during each event shift.*REQUIREMENTS** Prior waitstaff or customer service experience in a restaurant, hotel, banquet hall or country club setting is preferred, but not required. We will provide training.* Professional, outgoing and friendly demeanor.* Comfortable interacting with event guests and co-workers.* Ability to follow direction and move in a fast-paced setting.* Ability to stand for 9 hrs. length of time.* Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.* Please have reliable transportation.
