All applicants may not be interviewed.*COMPANY: *Midwest Express, Inc.*DEPARTMENT: *MAP*POSITION: *Supervisor - Acting*SHIFT: *2nd 4:30pm-1:00am*FLSA STATUS: *Salary Exempt*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES *_(include but not limited to)__*:*_· Supervise production floor to ensure success by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring and evaluating job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.· Foster a continuous improvement mindset, furthering new ideas (both your own and those of your associates), and implementing plans to positively impact the department operations and goals.· Responsible for allocating resources (labor, space, equipment, monitoring and providing standard production supplies, PPE and systems) within the assigned department at authorized levels to meet production requirements.· Provide associates in all positions the opportunities, training and experience to expand their knowledge and improve their skills.· Identify gaps and issues and support their resolution, including root cause investigation & countermeasure tracking as well as trend analysis.· Creates and revises work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOP’s) by analyzing operating practices, forms of control and implementing change management.· Openly communicates across all levels and functions, including client, direct reports, peers, senior leadership, as well as Maintenance, Quality, EHS, HR.· Develops and updates daily/weekly/monthly department reports (i.e. production reports, attendance reports, communication boards, etc.) as well as presentations for staff meetings, management and executive meetings.· Act as a role model for all associates and adhere to the company core valueso *Respect for the Individual*- Promote harmony and consensus.
