Driver/Fork lift Picker

*Job Summary*We are seeking a skilled Reach Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to move, locate, and transport inventory throughout our facility and beyond. This person will also need a valid driver license with a clean driving record. This person will be helping with pick ups and deliveries, as well. This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow.*Responsibilities** Operate reach forklifts and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.* Load and unload freight from trucks, ensuring proper handling and storage of goods.* Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met.* Communicate with team members regarding the status of shipments and inventory levels.* Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.* Assist in inventory management by accurately recording the movement of goods in the system.* Drive company cars safely to make deliveries and pick ups.* Collaborate with other departments as needed to facilitate efficient operations.*Qualifications** Proven experience operating forklifts or similar heavy equipment is preferred.* Familiarity with freight handling processes and warehouse operations is a plus.* Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.* Regular Drivers License and clean driving record- or no citations in the last 3 years.* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.* Previous experience in commercial driving or route driving is advantageous but not required.* A valid forklift operator certification is preferred; training may be provided for qualified candidates.Join us in this essential role where your skills will contribute significantly to our operational success!Job Type: Full-timePay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Parental leave* Vision insuranceSchedule:* Day shift* Home weekends* Monday to Friday* Morning shift* Overtime* Year round workTrucking Driver Type:* Solo driverTrucking Route:* Short haulExperience:* Forklift: 2 years (Required)Language:* Spanish (Required)License/Certification:* Driver's License (Required)Shift availability:* Day Shift (Required)Ability to Commute:* Lockport, IL 60441 (Required)Work Location: In person
