Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor

*Position Overview*Legacy Christian Church is seeking a dynamic and dedicated leader to serve as our Next Generation Ministry Director/Associate Pastor. This full-time role is designed to oversee and grow our ministry for all age groups—from newborns to high school seniors—while also partnering with the Lead Pastor to provide visionary leadership for the entire congregation. This position is pivotal in nurturing the spiritual growth of our younger generations and is a potential pathway to future leadership as a candidate for the Lead Pastor role. This position will be a located in Harrison, Ohio. Must be local to the area or willing to relocate.*Essential Functions of The Position**Ministry Leadership & Development:** Develop, implement, and oversee innovative programs and initiatives for children, youth, and young adults that align with the church’s mission and values.* Cultivate a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging environment that promotes spiritual growth, learning, and community connection across all age groups.* Recruit, train, and mentor volunteers and staff dedicated to the next generation ministry.*Strategic Planning & Growth:** Create and execute strategic plans to expand and enhance the next generation ministry.* Assess ministry needs and adjust programs accordingly to ensure relevance and impact.* Collaborate with other ministry leaders to integrate next generation initiatives into the broader church vision.*Leadership & Congregational Engagement:** Assist the Lead Pastor in overall church leadership, contributing to vision casting, decision-making, and the execution of church-wide initiatives.* Serve as a bridge between the youth ministry and the larger congregation, ensuring effective communication and engagement across all demographics.* Represent the next generation ministry in leadership meetings, planning sessions, and church-wide events.*Future Pastoral Leadership:** Demonstrate a strong potential for future pastoral leadership, with a commitment to personal spiritual growth, accountability, and ongoing ministry development.* Engage in mentorship and professional development opportunities to prepare for possible future roles, including that of Lead Pastor.*Additional Functions of The Position** Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.* Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of age groups, from infants to teenagers.* Strategic thinker with a passion for ministry growth and community engagement.* Proven ability to mentor and develop volunteer teams.* A heart for ministry and a personal commitment to Christian faith and values.* Ability to travel 5%*Qualifications** Education: Bachelor’s degree in Ministry, Christian Education, Theology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).* Experience: A minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience working in a church environment, with a focus on youth and/or next generation ministry.* Proficiency in graphics, social media, and digital/tech platforms preferred*Other Requirements** Ability to regularly walk, sit, stand, bend, push, or pull as needed* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check* Valid driver’s license*How to Apply** Interested candidates should submit a resume, cover letter, and references to .
