In this role, you’ll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial irrigation systems that keep properties thriving year-round.*Why Join Us?**Competitive Pay*: Enjoy a rewarding hourly rate based on experience and skill level.*Meaningful Work*: Help maintain beautiful, functional landscapes through smart water use.*Hands-On Environment*: Use a variety of tools, technology, and your own expertise in a dynamic field role.*Team Culture*: Join a crew that values hard work, professionalism, and a commitment to top-tier service.*Key Responsibilities:**Installation & Setup** Install irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, heads, timers, backflows, and sensors.* Read and follow blueprints and site plans to ensure optimal system layout.* Program and configure irrigation controllers based on seasonal and plant-specific needs.*Maintenance & Repairs** Perform seasonal services such as spring startups and fall blowouts/winterization.* Identify and repair leaks, broken heads, valve issues, or electrical faults.* Maintain systems to maximize efficiency and reduce water waste.*Diagnostics & Troubleshooting** Diagnose issues such as poor coverage, low pressure, or faulty wiring.* Use gauges and testing tools to pinpoint problems and make precise adjustments.* Calibrate heads and optimize zones for peak system performance.*Documentation & Aspire Use** Accurately log all service work in Aspire, including labor, parts, and notes.* Upload before/after photos and flag any follow-up work needed.* Keep tickets up to date and maintain clear, organized documentation.*Customer Interaction** Communicate clearly and professionally with clients on system issues and solutions.* Offer expert advice on watering schedules and controller settings.* Maintain a clean and respectful presence on all job sites.*Teamwork & Safety** Work solo or as part of a team depending on the job scope.* Follow all safety procedures related to trenching, PPE, and equipment use.* Keep tools, vehicles, and inventory organized and in good condition.*What We’re Looking For:** Prior irrigation or landscaping experience preferred* Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills* Ability to lift 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions* Strong attention to detail and communication skills* Comfort with using mobile devices and apps for ticket management* Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious*Company Overview:*The Yard Barbers is committed to maintaining and enhancing quality landscapes across Sioux Falls and surrounding areas.
