Production Shop Foreman

*Department: Manufacturing / Production**Reports To:* Production Manager / Special Projects ManagerAfter a 4 week training the position will rotate to 2 weeks on dayshift and 2 weeks on nightshift.*Company Overview:*We are a leading manufacturer of stainless steel and carbon steel standard and special profiles. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a strong and reliable *Production Shop Foreman *to join our team and ensure production operations run smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with company standards.*Position Summary:*The *Production Shop Foreman* is responsible for overseeing daily production operations on their assigned shift. This role ensures all customer orders are processed completely—one order at a time—and that company policies, safety standards, quality controls, and productivity targets are consistently met.*Key Responsibilities:** Oversee and coordinate all production activities during the assigned shift.* Ensure that each customer order is completed fully and correctly before moving on to the next order.* Monitor production operations to ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and rules.* Ensure all materials and finished products are properly tagged, and that full material traceability is maintained throughout the production process.* Verify that operators are consistently producing parts that meet quality standards and specifications.* Identify any non-conforming (NC) products and ensure operators:* Properly label NC products.* Move NC products to the designated repair station for corrective action.* Enforce strict compliance with all safety protocols and immediately address any unsafe behavior or conditions.* Actively support and enforce a culture of accountability and continuous improvement among production team members.* Drive and maintain high levels of productivity without compromising safety or quality.* Communicate effectively with the Production Manager, Quality Control, and Maintenance teams as necessary to address production issues in a timely manner.*Qualifications:** High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or post-secondary education is a plus.* 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably with metals or steel profiles.* 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.* Strong understanding of production workflows, traceability systems, and quality control practices.* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.* Ability to read and interpret production specifications and technical documents.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to enforcing procedures and safety standards.* Ability to lead by example and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment.*Working Conditions:** Full-time position; must be available to work assigned shift hours (may include evenings or weekends).* Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and working in an industrial environment.* Use of PPE required.*Why Join Us?** Competitive compensation and benefits* Opportunities for career advancement* A safety- and quality-focused culture* Stable and growing company in the steel manufacturing industryJob Type: Full-timePay: $26.50 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:* leadership or supervisor: 1 year (Required)* manufacturing or production: 3 years (Required)Ability to Commute:* Conroe, TX 77303 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Conroe, TX 77303: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
