*Now Hiring: Extrusion Operator**Location:* Columbia City | *Shift:1st -4a-2p M-Thurs*| *Type:* Full-Time*Join the 80/20 Team!**Job Summary:*80/20 is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented *Extrusion Operator* to cut, machine, and process raw aluminum material to meet customer specifications. This position involves operating saws, CNC machines, and other tools, along with performing quality checks to ensure accuracy and cosmetic standards are met. Candidates must be able to follow procedures, manage diverse orders, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.*Key Responsibilities:** Operate saws, milling, drilling, and tapping machines to process material.* Use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers) to ensure accuracy of cuts.* Perform quality control checks on all materials before moving to the next workstation.* Set up machines and verify specifications before starting production.* Wash bars during training and as needed to maintain quality.* Track orders and update progress using internal order tracking software.* Identify and assist with re-cut orders.* Communicate effectively with team members to solve production issues.* Follow all start-up, shutdown, and clean-up procedures.* Attend meetings and contribute feedback and suggestions.*Required Qualifications:** High School Diploma or GED.* Strong math skills, including unit conversion.* Basic mechanical skills and familiarity with measuring tools.* Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.* Able to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks for 10-hour shifts.* Positive attitude aligned with 80/20’s values and a customer-focused mindset.* Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in cross-training.*Preferred Qualifications:** 1+ year of experience with metal/plastic cutting equipment.* 1+ year of experience in quality control or aluminum finishing.* Comfortable using computers and basic software applications.* Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.*Why Work at 80/20?*Join a company that values innovation, quality, and teamwork.
