Church Music Coordinator

To lead and coordinate music during all worship services, assist with worship service planning, and lead choirTo enhance the worship experience at Hillside United Methodist Church through a variety of musical experiencesThe Music Coordinator reports directly to the Senior Pastor, but needs to be a team player, interfacing and coordinating with congregation members, volunteers, and other staff members of Hillside as needed-Plan, schedule, and arrange music for all worship services throughout the year-Coordinate with pastor for musical needs for all worship services-Develop new opportunities for modern worship music and styles-Coordinate with the pianist and other musical accompanists-Coordinate with computer technician regarding songs and lyrics used during worship services-Coordinate with sound board technicians for Sunday mornings and rehearsals-Purchase and organize all music used by Hillside-Assist pastor with song selection for worship services as needed-Assist soloists and special musical groups as needed-Schedule and/or substitute accompanists when pianist, other musical accompanists, and song leader is not available-Direct special programs when requested (i.e. Christmas Cantata)-Offer other musical opportunities to church ministries as needed-Attend weekly staff meetings, Worship team meetings, and other church meetings as deemed appropriate-Coordinate and maintain CCLI requirements-Coordinate and maintain musical instruments in proper working condition, i.e. schedule piano tuner as needed and other items as needed-Other responsibilities related to music as assigned by Senior PastorJob Type: Part-timePay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hourExpected hours: 10 – 20 per weekBenefits:* Flexible schedule* Paid time offWork Location: In person
