Apply now and become a part of something truly special!The *Machinist *will set up, operate, and maintain manual and semi-automatic machines to manufacture precision parts used in our production processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring parts meet specifications and production goals are met efficiently.*Key Responsibilities:** Set up and operate manual and powered machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses) to fabricate production parts.* Review blueprints, drawings, and work orders to understand product specifications.* Select proper materials, tools, speeds, and feeds based on project requirements.* Inspect completed parts using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to verify accuracy.* Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.* Document production and quality control records as required.* Follow all safety and environmental regulations in a manufacturing environment.* Communicate any production or quality issues to supervisors or engineers.*Qualifications:** High school diploma or GED required; technical/vocational training in machining preferred.* 2+ years’ experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment.* Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and production orders.* Skilled in the use of measuring tools and basic shop mathematics.* Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.* Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.*Physical Requirements:** Ability to stand, bend, and lift (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.* Use of PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection) is required.* Work is performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery noise and moving parts*.**Why SKC Inc.?**A Legacy of Impact:* For decades, SKC Inc. has been a pioneer in groundbreaking industrial solutions that protect lives.
