ASU has partnered with the United States military to reimagine their learning ecosystem and to encourage and promote lifelong learning during a service member's time in and out of the uniform. It’s an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking, mission-driven team that’s shaping the future of learning at the most innovative university in the world.*Essential Duties:*· Collaborate with team members and faculty/instructors to design and develop scalable, engaging, interactive, and pedagogically sound learning experiences that support student success across the lifespan.· Recommend innovative applications of pedagogy and digital tools to enhance scalable, online teaching and learning.· Create compelling and engaging instructional resources, including interactive websites, multimedia elements, and digital learning objects that transform the digital student learning experience and expand your technical expertise.· Leverage content authoring tools, multimedia applications, and presentation platforms to support the development of custom online learning solutions that address specific pedagogical challenges.· Advocate for pedagogically sound educational technology integration by keeping team members and faculty informed about cutting-edge instructional technology developments.· Evaluate and recommend effective and creative uses of emerging technologies that have potential value for online teaching and learning.· Develop training materials, including job aids, online tutorials, and other multimedia materials to assist faculty with instructional design principles and the use of online teaching and learning tools.· Assume or coordinate other duties or projects as assigned or directed.*NOTE*: This is not a fully remote position. Must be able to reliably commute to Scottsdale, Arizona.*Minimum Qualifications:*Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.*Desired Qualifications:*· *Education:* Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology/Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, or a related field (strongly preferred).· *Course Design Expertise:* Proven ability to design, develop, implement, and revise online courses using learning theories and multiple learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, edX, Coursera).· *Project & Technology Skills:* Experience managing projects, meeting milestones, resolving technical issues, and maintaining attention to detail while following established guidelines and policies.· *Collaboration & Communication:* Strong ability to build effective working relationships and communicate clearly in visual, oral, and written forms.· *Adaptability:* Demonstrated success in pivoting priorities, managing multiple concurrent projects, and thriving in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.*NOTE:* Please answer the following questions in your cover letter:· What are three (3) essential duties for our position that interest you and how do they relate to your personal and/or professional goals?· Referring to the ASU Online Course Design Standards, what are two (2) of your strengths that you hope to bring to our team and what are two (2) opportunities for growth you hope to gain or strengthen if you are selected?
