The PA program offers a competitive salary and benefits package with ample opportunities for professional growth and development. The Program is proud to offer modern, new facilities with a robust simulation and ultrasound curriculum.Salary as 1.0 FTE - Only 32 weekly work hours - Allows clinical employment during weekGeneral Responsibilities Include:Instruct didactic year students, participating as Course Director as directedParticipate in didactic lab activities throughout the didactic quartersReview didactic year student evaluations from courses taughtParticipate in the Didactic Curriculum Committee to evaluate and develop curriculumDevelop, maintain, and mentor adjunct instructorsParticipate in committees at the department and college levelsProvide feedback at the Annual Curriculum ReviewMentor and advise physician assistant studentsParticipate on the Student Progress CommitteePrepare and track grade sheets for courses as the Course DirectorParticipate in scholarly and research activities; maintain CME requirementsEvaluate, revise, and coordinate didactic course curriculumParticipate in ongoing Self Study activities for accreditationParticipate in the development, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum that conforms with the Program’s mission, goals, and objectivesRequirements:EducationGraduate of ARC-PA accredited programMaster’s degree in Physician Assistant StudiesLicensureCurrent NCCPA certificationEligible for licensure in FloridaExperiencePreferred: at least 3 years' experience of clinical practiceOther Information:Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience.Full-time faculty members are encouraged to participate in clinical practice to maintain clinical skills and to ensure quality of teaching. A one-day release time is available to full-time faculty who secure clinical practice. Faculty who practice one day/week are still responsible for the duties and responsibilities listed in their job descriptions.
